Today, we offer French cuisine and a grill type menu. Kansas Citys LGBTQ+ nightlife scene is open to all and the perfect way to enjoy some of the citys most popular bars. Before it became our restaurant, it used to be Metropolis City Grill, where chef Mullins also served. The state has much to offer its LGBT citizens and visitors for a great night out, including Kansas gay bars, lesbian bars and LGBT-friendly establishments. It’s known as 'The Sunflower State' and its capital is Topeka. He’s served patrons for over 22 years, even before this spot was Bistro 303. Kansas is a midwestern state with a population of over 2.9 million people. We are proud of our chef, Paul Mullins, who’s been with us from the very beginning, and even prior to that. Our alfresco area is also great for those who want to dine outdoors. Our tables are mostly meant for two because we want our customers to be more intimate with each other, but we also have an area where a large group can celebrate. We have a great cocktail selection, offering glasses and bottles and our signature cocktails. We have a large bar area because we want our customers to mingle with each other. Our loyal customers and new patrons come here to celebrate and share special occasions over great food, great drinks, and great company. They share important events in their lives here, such as reunions, birthdays, engagement parties, as well as important meetings that change the direction of their lives. Today, it is a well-loved, respected, and sought after place where people meet their loved ones, friends, and meet new people. We wanted to be part of the community, of the neighborhood, where we are not only known for being a gay bar but a restaurant and bistro where people come and enjoy our food, as well as our company of patrons. Geary County Ministerial Association, December 1999, North Bethesda, Md.

We didn’t want Bistro 303 to be a well-kept secret.

We even intended Bistro 303 to be the first gay bar in Kansas City, Missouri to have clear glass windows so people can look inside and see all the great food and all the fun we’re having. When we opened the bistro, we intended it to be a gay bar where people can come confidently and enjoy our drinks and gourmet food at the restaurant.
